JamSpot is pleased to offer a class in Electronic Music Production. Great for beginners to experienced producers looking to put a new spin on their creations, the JamSpot EMP program covers everything from general concepts of  electronic music composition and production to in-depth exploration of sound and arrangement. Our seasoned, professional EM instructors will show you how use cutting edge technologies, including Reason®, Ableton® and ProTools® to create sounds and compose your own electronic music in our professionally equipped production studio. And when you’re ready, we’ll teach you how to use Facebook and SoundCloud to promote your music.

The JamSpot Electronic Music Production program is led by Phil Dumka.  Phil is a graduate of The Northeastern University Music Industry Program. He is heavily involved in the  local Boston electronic music scene, hosting shows and running a weekly upstream that highlights local electronic music talent. Phil releases his own electronic music under the name dumka, and regularly performs with major acts like Pearson Sound and Four Tet. He is a technical consultant for Maven, one of Boston’s premier Electronic Music promotion company and is a production manager for the Boston-based “Together Electronic Music Festival”. When he is not teaching or performing, Phil is always working on creating music, both electronic and not, and pushing the envelope of sound design.
