Who We Are

JamSpot, Inc. was founded on February 7, 2003 by Steve Folsom, John Mazzone and Scott Anderson. JamSpot Development LLC was founded on January 12, 2007 and holds the exclusive rights to develop and market JamSpot franchises.
Steve Folsom
 

Steve Folsom came to JamSpot following a 25 year career as a live sound engineer for international touring artists Melissa Etheridge, John Hiatt and The Replacements. During his career Steve has also worked with Jimmy Buffet, Jewel, Huey Lewis and the News, aimee mann, Stanley Jordan, Peter Wolf and the Del Fuegos.

Steve has been nominated twice for Live Engineer of Year, and has been featured in numerous professional sound magazines and in advertisements for Shure, Behringer and dbx.

Steve is our principal sound designer, with overall responsibility for studio design and equipment. He is Senior Vice President of JamSpot Development, and President and Chief Operating Officer of JamSpot, Inc.

Steve and his wife Beth have 2 children, Jacob and Ella, and live in Arlington, Massachusetts.

John Mazzone
 

John joined JamSpot after more than 20 years in international sales, business development and law with IBM, Siebel Systems, EarthWeb and GTech Corporation. During his career John has done business in more than 30 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and South America, and has lived and worked in Japan, Hong Kong and Korea for more than 7 years.

During his time in Asia, John often used fully equipped sound studios in Tokyo and Hong Kong, where he developed the initial concept for JamSpot.

John is President of JamSpot Development and Chairman of JamSpot, Inc. He holds an A.B. in East Asian Studies from Harvard, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. John, his wife Emi and their son Andrew live in Belmont, Massachusetts.

Scott Anderson
 

Scott helped found JamSpot after 25 years as an advertising and marketing executive in New York and Los Angeles. Scott is a two time winner of the American Marketing Association Effie Award for Marketing Effectiveness for his work with Crayola and IBM.

Scott was a partner at the advertising agency of Ogilvy & Mather, where he was Global Account Manager for IBM Software. He left Ogilvy to become head of worldwide marketing for EarthWeb, and later founded the Shadow Marketing Network, an online marketing services firm that has done work for Tiffany & Co., NTT/Verio, SCO Group, NY’s MOMA and OfficeDesigns.com.

In his spare time Scott plays bass in several NY-based rock and blues bands. Scott is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of JamSpot Development and Chief Marketing Officer of JamSpot, Inc. He has a B.S in Environmental Science from Rutgers University.

Scott lives in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York with his wife Melanie and daughter Chelsea.
