How to Get to Somerville

JamSpot is located just between Inman Square and Union Square on the Cambridge-Somerville line. Here's how to get here:

 

From the West:
Mass Pike to Cambridge/Allston Exit, take exit ramp to Cambridge, cross over Storrow Drive and Charles River, across Memorial Drive and continue straight on River Street .7 miles to Central Sq.

Cross Mass Ave onto Prospect Street and continue for .5 miles to Cambridge Street (the 5th stoplight after Mass Ave). Take a right on Cambridge Street heading towards Boston (away from Inman Sq), through 1 stop light.

After stop light, turn left onto Windsor Place at the Shell Station (Joseph Versakas Sr. Square). Continue .2 miles down Windsor Place.

Entrance to JamSpot/Boynton Yards parking lot is on the right, just as Windsor Place takes a 90 degree turn to the left. JamSpot is behind the RCN building on your right.

 

From the East:
Take Storrow Drive to Mass General exit. Bear right on exit ramp and cross the Charles over the Longfellow Bridge (the "Salt & Pepper" Bridge) and continue into Kendall Sq.

Bear right onto Hampshire Street, then take the next right onto Cardinal Medeiros Parkway. Follow to end, then left onto Cambridge Street heading towards Inman Sq.

Take a right onto Windsor Place at the Shell Station (Joseph Versakas Sr. Square). Continue .2 miles down Windsor Place.

Entrance to JamSpot/Boynton Yards parking lot is on the right, just as Windsor Place takes a 90 degree turn to the left. JamSpot is behind the RCN building on your right.

From North:
Take 93 South to Exit 28 (Sullivan Sq/Charlestown). Bear left to Sullivan Sq at the split, then slide to ther right as you see the Sullivan Sq T Station on your right.

Take a right at the 1st light onto Cambridge St (keeping Sullivan Sq Station on your right). Continue straight on Cambridge Street for about 1.5 miles into Union Sq.

(You'll pass a Dunkin Donuts and a Hess gas station on your right and a Holiday Inn on your left, go under both a railroad bridge and the MaGrath Highway underpass then see the Somerville Police Station on your left. Also note that somewhere along your journey Cambridge Street will magically turn into Washington Street.)

When you enter Union Sq., Washington (nee Cambridge) St. will turn 90 degrees to the left, then 90 degrees to the right (yet another Dunkin Donuts!), then run into a multi-road intersection in the center of Union Square.

At that intersection, take a left at he light onto Webster Street (Saint Joseph's Church will be on your right as you turn onto Webster St). Go straight on Webster over the railroad tracks (some people call it a hill), through the light (U-SAVE Auto rental should be on your right).

Then take the first left onto Columbia Street (Royal White Laundry on left). Continue straight, bearing left/straight at the fork, then directly ahead of you is the entrance to our parking lot and Boynton Yards Technology Park.

BUT WATCH OUT for traffic coming from the right -- they have the right of way!

 

From the South:
Take 93 North through the Tunnel to Exit 28 (Sullivan Sq/Charlestown), which is the first exit on the RIGHT after you cross the Zakim Bridge.

Take a left at the bottom of the exit onto Cambridge St (Sullivan Sq Station will be directly in front of you). Continue on Cambridge Street for about 1.5 miles into Union Sq.

(You'll pass a Dunkin Donuts and a Hess gas station on your right and a Holiday Inn on your left, go under both a railroad bridge and the MaGrath Highway underpass, and then see the Somerville Police Station on your left.
