JamSpot is located just between Inman Square and Union Square on the Cambridge-Somerville line. Here’s how to get here:

From Boston via Central Square:

  • Take either the Red line or MBTA #1 Bus (towards Harvard Square) to Central Square.
  • Transfer to the #83 bus that leaves Central Square from the corner of River and Green Street . Take the #83 (towards Ridge Ave.) to Inman Square (about a 5 minute ride).
  • From Inman, walk East on Cambridge Street for 4 blocks. Take a left onto Windsor Street. Walk down Windsor past the lovely auto junkyard, and the orange JamSpot awning should be visible across South Street to the right.

From Boston via Lechmere Station:

  • Take the Green line to Lechmere Station. From Lechmere, take the #69 (which leaves from the McGrath Highway Side of the bus Depot).
  • Get off the #69 at Windsor Street. Take a right onto Windsor Street. Skip down Windsor past the auto junkyard, and the orange JamSpot awning should be visible across South Street to the right.

From Somerville via Sullivan Square:

  • Take the Orange line to the Sullivan Square Station. From Sullivan Square, go to the bottom level of the bus depot and take the #86 bus (toward Reservoir/Cleveland Circle). Get off two stops after Union Square (after passing a Catholic School on right and about a 15 minute bus ride from Sullivan).
  • Walk southwest on Webster Street over the bridge. Take your first left onto Columbia Street. Walk about 1.5 blocks past the RCN and other industrial buildings and into the parking lot to the left of RCN. The orange JamSpot awning should be visible across the parking lot to the right.

From Kendall Square:

  • Take the Red line to Kendall Square. Walk west on Broadway for one block and take a right onto Hampshire Street.
  • Walk 4 blocks on Hampshire Street and take a right onto Windsor Street (by the Art Gallery/yoga place). Walk North on Windsor for 3 blocks crossing Cambridge Street. Keep walking on Windsor past the scenic auto junkyard and the orange JamSpot awning should be visible across South Street to the right. If not, remove your shades and take another look…squint if you have to.

From Harvard Square:

  • Take the #69 MBTA (towards Lechmere) from the Holyoke Gate on Campus. The #69 will take you down Cambridge Street. Get off at Windsor Street (about a 5-10 minute bus ride).
  • Take a left onto Windsor Street. Walk down Windsor past the auto reclamation facility, and the orange JamSpot awning should be visible across South Street to the right.

Driving Directions to Somerville

From the West:

  • Mass Pike to Cambridge/Allston Exit, take exit ramp to Cambridge, cross over Storrow Drive and Charles River, across Memorial Drive and continue straight on River Street .7 miles to Central Sq.
  • Cross Mass Ave onto Prospect Street and continue for .5 miles to Cambridge Street (the 5th stoplight after Mass Ave). Take a right on Cambridge Street heading towards Boston (away from Inman Sq), through 1 stop light.
  • After stop light, turn left onto Windsor Place at the Shell Station (Joseph Versakas Sr. Square). Continue .2 miles down Windsor Place.
  • Entrance to JamSpot/Boynton Yards parking lot is on the right, just as Windsor Place takes a 90 degree turn to the left. JamSpot is behind the RCN building on your right.

From the East:

  • Take Storrow Drive to Mass General exit. Bear right on exit ramp and cross the Charles over the Longfellow Bridge (the “Salt & Pepper” Bridge) and continue into Kendall Sq.
  • Bear right onto Hampshire Street, then take the next right onto Cardinal Medeiros Parkway. Follow to end, then left onto Cambridge Street heading towards Inman Sq.

  • Take a right at the 1st light onto Cambridge St (keeping Sullivan Sq Station on your right). Continue straight on Cambridge Street for about 1.5 miles into Union Sq.
  • (You’ll pass a Dunkin Donuts and a Hess gas station on your right and a Holiday Inn on your left, go under both a railroad bridge and the MaGrath Highway underpass then see the Somerville Police Station on your left. Also note that somewhere along your journey Cambridge Street will magically turn into Washington Street.)
  • When you enter Union Sq., Washington (nee Cambridge) St. will turn 90 degrees to the left, then 90 degrees to the right (yet another Dunkin Donuts!), then run into a multi-road intersection in the center of Union Square.
  • At that intersection, take a left at he light onto Webster Street (Saint Joseph’s Church will be on your right as you turn onto Webster St). Go straight on Webster over the railroad tracks (some people call it a hill), through the light (U-SAVE Auto rental should be on your right).
  • Then take the first left onto Columbia Street (Royal White Laundry on left). Continue straight, bearing left/straight at the fork, then directly ahead of you is the entrance to our parking lot and Boynton Yards Technology Park.
  • BUT WATCH OUT for traffic coming from the right — they have the right of way!
